Fit

Cut to a modern tailored fit — clean through the chest and waist without being restrictive, with a structured shoulder and a lightly tapered trouser. It sits between a slim fit and a classic fit: closer than off-the-rack traditional tailoring, but with enough room to move, sit and wear comfortably through a long day.

If you normally find slim fits tight across the back and shoulders, this will suit you. If you prefer a fuller, draped silhouette, size up one and have the waist taken in.

Choosing your size

Jacket and trouser sizes are selected separately, so you're not tied to a fixed drop. Order each to your own measurement.

• Jacket size matches your chest measurement in inches. A 40 jacket is cut for a 40" chest.
• Trouser size matches your natural waist, not the waist of your jeans. Denim is usually labelled 1–2" larger than the true measurement.
• Length — choose Short if you're under 5'9", Regular for 5'9"–6'0", or Long for 6'0"–6'4". If you are outside those proportions or need a non-standard length, choose Custom. Length affects jacket body, sleeve and trouser proportions together.

If you fall between two sizes, take the larger and have it adjusted. Letting a garment out is difficult; taking it in is straightforward.

Made-to-measure

Select Custom at the sizing step to open the Suit Heritage customizer. Choose Bespoke or Made to Measure, enter the measurements we need before adding the suit to your bag, and production begins once those details are confirmed.

Your suit is a structured, tailored garment. It is not machine washable, and it should never be tumble dried heat and agitation will distort the canvas, shrink the lining, and permanently change the shape of the shoulder and lapel.

• Dry clean only, and only when genuinely necessary. Over-cleaning shortens the life of tailoring more than wearing it does.
• Spot clean small marks promptly with a clean, damp white cloth. Blot, never rub.
• Air the garment for a few hours after each wear before returning it to the wardrobe.
• Brush lightly with a soft garment brush, following the direction of the weave, to lift dust and surface fibres.
• Rest between wears. Two days is ideal — it allows the fibres to recover their shape.
• Hang on a broad, contoured wooden hanger. Wire hangers collapse the shoulder line.
• Hang trousers by the hem or the waistband on a clamp hanger to keep the crease true.
• Steam rather than press to release creases. If pressing, use a low setting and always a pressing cloth.
• Store with room to breathe in a cotton garment bag, never plastic, and keep away from prolonged damp or direct sunlight.
