About This Garment

The Suit Heritage Men’s Solid Maroon Regular Fit Sport Coat is a masterclass in rich, sophisticated color and timeless tailoring. Rendered in a deep, distinguished solid maroon, this jacket offers a bold yet refined alternative to traditional navies and greys, projecting an image of creative confidence and intellectual depth. It is the premier choice for the gentleman attending autumn social gatherings, evening dinner events, or “smart-casual” office environments where a polished, standout aesthetic is required.

Tailored in a regular fit, this sport coat is designed with a stately silhouette, providing a more generous cut through the chest and shoulders for a comfortable, authoritative drape. The vibrant maroon palette offers surprising versatility, pairing exceptionally well with navy trousers for a classic high-contrast look, or with charcoal flannels for a more subdued, professional ensemble. Featuring classic notch lapels and a functional pocket configuration, this jacket maintains the structural integrity of traditional tailoring while prioritizing day-long wearability. Invest in this Suit Heritage essential for a garment that perfectly balances a bold, modern color palette with the absolute reliability of a classic tailored fit.

Sport Coat Care Guide

A sport coat is a versatile staple of a modern wardrobe, often featuring more rugged textures and patterns than a traditional suit. Proper sport coat care maintains the garment's casual elegance and ensures the tailored structure remains sharp over years of wear.

Everyday Care & Storage

  • Brush the fabric after every wear using a natural-bristle clothes brush to remove dust and surface debris.

  • Hang your sport coat on a wide, contoured wooden hanger immediately after wearing to support the tailored shoulders and maintain the jacket's drape.

  • Use a garment steamer to relax wrinkles and freshen the fibers naturally.

  • Avoid overfilling the pockets, as heavy items like large phones or wallets can permanently stretch the fabric and distort the jacket's silhouette.

  • Allow the coat to rest in a well-ventilated space for at least 24 hours before returning it to the closet to allow moisture to evaporate.

Cleaning

  • Take the garment to a professional dry cleaner only when absolutely necessary, typically once or twice a year depending on frequency of use.

  • Spot clean minor spills immediately by gently blotting the area with a damp cloth; never rub the fabric as it can damage the weave.

  • Do not machine wash your bespoke sport coat, as immersion in water and machine agitation will destroy the internal canvas and ruin the fit.

Coordinating with Trousers

  • Since sport coats are designed to be worn with contrasting trousers, the jacket often requires less frequent cleaning than the pants it is paired with.

  • To maintain a consistent look, ensure your professional cleaner uses a gentle process that preserves the texture of the specific fabric, whether it is wool, silk, or a blended weave.
