Use a flexible measuring tape over lightweight, close-fitting clothing. Stand naturally and keep the tape level without pulling it tightly.

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
Waist
Measure around the position where you naturally wear your pants, keeping the tape comfortable.
Hips / Seat
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, keeping the tape level.
Shoulders
Measure across the upper back from the outer edge of one shoulder to the other.
Bicep
Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm while keeping your arm relaxed.
Sleeve Length
Measure from the outer shoulder point down the arm to the wrist with the arm slightly bent.
Inside Leg
Measure from the top of the inner thigh down to your preferred pant hem position.
Leg Opening
Measure around the bottom opening of a well-fitting pair of pants laid flat and doubled.
Jacket Length
Measure from the highest shoulder point beside the collar straight down the front to your preferred jacket hem.
Stomach
Measure around the fullest part of your abdomen, usually near the navel, keeping the tape level and comfortable.
Trouser Length
Measure from the top of the waistband down the outside of the leg to your preferred trouser hem.
Front Rise
Measure from the crotch seam up the front of the body to the top edge of the waistband.
Back Rise
Measure from the crotch seam up the back of the body to the top edge of the waistband.
Thigh
Measure around the fullest part of the upper thigh, close to the crotch, while standing naturally.

For greater accuracy, ask another person to take your measurements. Use body measurements first when selecting your size.
Fit Guidance
Choosing the right size
Use your body measurements first. Jacket and pant sizes do not need to match, and our independent sizing system lets you choose each garment separately where available.
Should my jacket and pant sizes be the same?
Not necessarily. Many customers require different jacket and pant sizes. Where separate sizing is available, select each garment individually using the relevant size chart.
What is the difference between body and garment measurements?
Columns beginning with Your, such as Your Chest, Your Waist and Your Hip, refer to your body measurements.
Columns such as Jacket Chest, Jacket Waist, Pant Waist and Pant Hip show the approximate measurements of the finished garment.
Always use your body measurements first when selecting a size.
Are all measurements shown in inches?
Yes. All measurements displayed in the Suit Heritage size charts are in inches.
What do Short, Regular and Long mean?
Short, Regular and Long refer to garment length and proportion.
Short is designed for shorter arms, legs or torso proportions.
Regular is designed for average body proportions.
Long is designed for taller customers or those with longer arms, legs or torsos.
These options do not change the main chest or waist size.
What should I do if I am between two sizes?
We generally recommend choosing the larger size for greater comfort and additional room for alterations.
For jackets, prioritize the shoulders, chest and upper arms. For pants, prioritize the waist, hips, seat and thighs.
What should I do when my measurements match different sizes?
Choose the size that comfortably accommodates the fullest or least adjustable area of your body.
For women’s jackets, consider both the chest and waist. For women’s pants, consider both the waist and hips. Separate jacket and pant sizing should be used where available.
